About Us

Wake Forest--where the college used to be. In 1956, Wake Forest College moved to Winston-Salem and became Wake Forest University. The Southeastern Baptist Seminary took over the campus and the town has acclimated to the change thanks to a smooth transition. Another big change to the area was the relocation of US-1 to the western side of the town in 1952. With the vast amount of changes that happened and the ebb and flow of businesses in and around Wake Forest, the town has seen great growth and expansion. Wake Forest has worked tirelessly to create beneficial programming and new roles for a growing community. The downtown area is being revitalized one business at a time along with historical preservation.
